Tomás Whitmore always had a camera in his hand while growing up. Tomás found himself immersed in LA’s new wave hip hop scene directing music videos for young artists who were charting new territory by dispelling the bling bling myth MTV had cast over rap music. His music videos have been a place to experiment with tone, color, and mood. In the past two years he’s directed videos with Dillon Francis, DJ Snake, A-Trak, Tinashe, and Chance the Rapper, among many others. Tomás is currently in Los Angeles, working on music videos, commercials, and a comic book exploring graffiti culture and the Chicano battle over Los Angeles.
